The present invention relates to the removal of various gases, gases and other similar pollutants which are released from chemicals in a hairdressing salon.
The staff of a hairdresser is exposed daily to several different gases which are released from chemicals used in conjunction with undulation, dyeing and bleaching of hair. Further, by cutting hair, fine hair remover is produced which, together with, for example, the frequently used hair spray, also causes a nuisance. All this will greatly increase the risk of allergies, asthma and other chronic respiratory problems for staff.
The present invention relates to a device for removing the above-mentioned pollutants from the surroundings of a hairdressing salon. Traditionally, attempts have been made to reduce dangerous gas emissions in the hairdressing salon environment by means of good ventilation. However, for example, a ventilation system that is fixedly mounted in the ceiling will not provide an air extraction directly for a desired object, thereby causing the risk of personnel being exposed to gases generated in a work area. In such stationary ventilation solutions, air is directed through filters placed in a ventilation room without separate chemical purification thereof. DE 3640735 discloses an apparatus for obtaining a clean ambient air for the staff of a hairdressing salon. The apparatus comprises a filtration unit which can be moved in the inhalation area. This apparatus further comprises a movable arm for directing air flow against a suction fan located in the filter unit, preferably such that a continuous air flow is obtained.
DE 3810150 discloses an air extraction device at a hairdressing salon workplace. In this device, the hot air region and the hair treatment station are designed such that the extraction of hazardous vapors to a filter unit takes place at the top, after which the purified air is blown out into the working area from the bottom of the device.
According to the present invention, the suction device is realized to comprise a suction tube connected to a filter unit, the suction tube comprising at least two suction openings, of which at least one suction opening is connected to a suction box.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one of the suction openings, preferably the one connected to the suction box, is adjustable and preferably it can also be completely closed by means of adjustment.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, an upwardly directed suction tube is connected to the filter / suction unit. A first suction opening is located in the side wall of the upwardly extending suction tube so that it is connected to the suction box. The end of the suction tube serves as another suction opening which is movable around the actual working area.
The designs, objects and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description with reference to the accompanying Figure 1, which shows a preferred embodiment of the present invention, especially for use in hairdressing salons.
A device shown in FIG. 1 comprises a suction fan 2. The suction fan itself is a conventional suction fan for removing, for example, flue gases and may, for example, be driven by mains voltage, batteries or compressed air. In the figure, the suction fan 2 is arranged on a carriage 13, which is provided with wheels 1, in order to allow movement of the suction fan. Further, the suction fan 2 in the figure is mounted in the lower part of the carriage 13, to guarantee the stability of the device. The suction blower 2 is provided with a suction opening 7. This suction opening 7 is connected to an upwardly directed suction pipe 6, by means of a sealing sliding sleeve 8. This connection allows the raising of a cover (not shown) on the suction fan 2, for replacement of a filter. (not shown, but the filter may be, for example, an activated charcoal filter or a filter containing 50% activated charcoal and 50% Puratex) placed inside the suction fan 2.
A handle 3 is attached (preferably by welding) to the carriage 13, to enable the carriage to be moved. Preferably, the handle 3 can be bent by a tube so that it is attached to the carriage 13 at opposite sides of the carriage 13. In the embodiment shown in the figure, the handle 3 extends from the sides vertically upwards, the upper part being bent so that a suction box 5 can be attached to this. For example, as shown in the drawing, the suction box may be a box with 5 walls and an open side, or it may also include a sealing flap (not shown). The suction box 5 is connected to the handle 3 by means of two bolts 4. The suction tube 6 extending 3 from the suction fan 2 is mounted (preferably by welding) on the suction box 5.1. The suction tube 6 is connected to the rear wall of the suction box 5.
The suction tube 6 and the suction box 5 are provided with openings which together form a suction opening 9 from the inside of the suction box 5 into the suction tube 6. The suction opening 9 is provided with an adjustable flap 14 for adjusting the suction opening 9. The adjustable flap 14 can be infinitely adjustable. By means of the adjustable flap 14, the suction opening 9 can also be completely closed if required.
In the upper part of the suction tube 6 there is a sealing sleeve 19 by means of which a point suction tube 11 is connected to the suction tube 6. The sealing sleeve also enables rotation of the suction suction tube 11. The movement of the suction suction tube 11 is further improved by means of a hinge 15. A transparent cap 12 is disposed at the end of the point suction tube 11 for collecting the degassing from a desired object.
When used in hairdressing salons, the device described above can be used so that, due to its movement, the device can be moved to a direct proximity to a hairdresser's chair. It will be apparent to one skilled in the art that with certain modifications this device can be reconstructed to be an integral part of a hairdresser's chair.
In hairdressing salons, the substances used for hair treatment are traditionally mixed by the hairdressers in a separate room in order to avoid degassing from open containers in the actual working area. In accordance with the present invention, in use thereof, a hairdresser may insert open containers necessary for hair treatment into the suction box and perform the mixture of various substances in the suction cabinet, whereby nuisance gases can be removed by the suction fan via the suction opening. The filter in the suction fan filters dangerous substances from the air and releases the purified air back into the room. The filter can be easily replaced via the suction fan cover when required. The suction fan may further comprise a device indicating the filling of the filter and the need for replacement.

During use, the cap at the end of the suction tube may preferably be directed such that during the hair treatment of a customer sitting in the hairdresser, the surrounding inhalation air can be maintained as clean as possible.

Claims (10)

A filter device for removing hazardous gases from a work area, comprising: - a suction blower (2) comprising a suction opening (7); - a suction tube (6) movable at least from one end connected to the suction opening, said suction tube comprising a suction opening; characterized in that further: - the suction tube comprises a second suction opening which is connected to a suction box.

Device according to claim 1, wherein at least one of the suction openings comprises an adjustment plate for adjustment and further for the complete closing of the suction opening.

Device according to claim 2, wherein all the suction openings comprise an adjustment plate for adjustment and further for the complete closing of the suction openings.

Device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the suction tube is mounted to extend substantially vertically upwards from the suction fan.

Device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the suction pipe is connected to the suction opening by means of a sealing sleeve.

Device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the suction tube comprises a stationary section which is connected to a movable point suction tube 11 by means of a sealing sleeve 10.
